Fourty Percent Progress

Engine is now sitting nicely & bolt on..now waiting for few major works. Still have few issues and few dilemma's
Pending work includes,
-Major wiring works
-Downpipe Hitting the steering rod
-fabricate power steering fluid lines
-ebrake not in yet
-Padels not in yet
-Intercooler
-Fuel pump

Also had dillema's on radiators. Looks like my Koyo copper radiator will have give in, Since the engine doesnt have much space(approx 6" from radiator support to engine). My only option to fit my Koyo rad is, to ditch hydro pump+radiator fan and use a conventional water pump and use an electric fan. Other option, is to buy a jzx81 radiator+the fan and keep the hydro pump as for now. If the Hydro pump is f*ck it will cost around bnd900 locally. Conventional water pump cost bnd300 complete with the housing. Hole in my pockets.....hahaha

Engine sits in its new find home...

This is the only space for between radiator support & the engine

Strap down

After find out that Aristo metal mounts doesnt fit directly to the car, i haf to do more homework doing research, write a few emails,pm's to ppl that hav done a 2jz conversion to their gx81 to confirm wat will fit to the car without alterations of any crossmember. now i got the answer already

what u need is a Jzx81 or a Jzx90 metal mounts to be strap to the Engine block. ALso needed is the crossmember of latest model of gx81. Here's the pics of the metal mounts(pics from Jason kirk - project sleeper)This metal mounts will then mated with stock gx81 engine rubber mounts.

Then swap the mounts from right side(RFX) to left side(LFX) and on the right side, move the metal mounts to foward most of the hole..it looks like this(pics from jacob of toyotacressida.net - project never finished)

This is where my interest in a jzx100 or jzx90 grew up..Japanese Hyper Rev..but cant understand anything at all, bacause its all in japanese,so its all picture scannings..no reading! hehe

so my wish list is any jzx100 markII,cresta or chaser..:)
jzx90 markII willalso entertain..:)

Super Stopper

Power without stopping upgrade is not going anywhere, very hazardous.
So here i set the importance of brake system over the engine upgrades.
Here it goes..a NISSAN R33 4pot brakes.why NISSAN?
simply because it fits without major modification and its huge in size.
and mostly jzx81 all over the world is using nissan 4pot brakes

gearbox sits in its place..and notice that the engine bay is painted in metalgun colour

replace the clutch bearing..

Photobucket

latest edition..oil cooler & a filter relocation
Photobucket
by looking at the enigne,i find it hard to carried out oil filter replacement,so i came up with the idea to install this relocation kit plus oil cooler kit. hole in my pockets but hopefully its worth it..
